Christian’s Resolution for the New Year
January 4th 2009 03:24
Well it is officially the New Year, a time when people make resolutions for the way they wish to be … as sort of a new beginning. Here are some resolutions that all Christians (both new and those already dedicated) should have on their list as things ‘to do’ or things to re-affirm.
1. Acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God: Lord and Savior
2. Submit to His authority and teachings
3. Offer yourself as a living sacrifice meaning that you will sacrifice your selfish desires and live totally for His glory.
4. Ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit so He can guide you on a daily basis.
5. Devote time to Him each day either in prayer or by reading the Word of God (the bible).
6. Make sure that all thoughts, actions and attitudes are His way. Not yours.
7. Turn away from all things that hinder your walk with Jesus and obey all of God’s laws and teachings of Jesus.
8. Become a better manager of all things that God blesses you with.
9. Give thanks regardless of problems or situations.
10. No matter what men say about what is right or wrong always stand by God’s Word as to what is right and wrong.

I wouldn't be bothering putting that list as my new years resolution as it is a list that I try to live by every day...not always successfully, but definitely with the best of my efforts as a fallible human.
Anonymous, are you more put out by the fact that someone is telling you what your New Year's Resolution should be? I think HET was just trying to be encouraging.
