A Soldier of God
January 13th 2008 16:33
Many people, especially with all of the radical terrorists in the world today, have gotten a bad picture of what a soldier of God is and should be. So, in this post I will be outlining a true soldier’s task agenda. You may discover something that you didn’t realize before coming here today.
1)Obviously a soldier’s task is the subsequent: Follow- Fight- No Retreat. But, let’s look at this further. FOLLOW: once you make a commitment you cease to be your own person anymore, wherever you are directed, you follow. FIGHT: when you see an injustice being performed and it is in your creed to take care of all those weaker than you, you must fight to protect them. The same is true about lies. If someone is lying about your leader (God), job, actions, or your task, you must fight to show the truth. NO- RETREAT: You do not back down. Backing down or away from a situation that needs your attention is nothing more than lack of dedication to your cause.
2)TRAINING: In a soldier’s training there are hardships and issues that must be learned in order to be efficient. First, knowing and expecting that you will suffer hardships and inconveniences will make it easier when going through them. Secondly, discipline yourself and through discipline teach yourself the following: self control, obedience, dedication and responsibility. You must deny yourself and respect authority for the good of your job and the people around you.
3)TOOLS: God has equipped us with the necessary tools to fight this spiritual battle. Our shield is the word of God. Our weapons are not of the flesh but spiritual in nature. Remember prayer is the most powerful of our tools and the word of God is sharper than any sword.
