A Spiritual Check-up
February 23rd 2008 16:21
We all take care of our cars for safety and give it a 10 point check-up when it is running slow or seems as though it is not giving us it’s all. We should do the same for our soul in our daily lives. So here is a way to give yourself a spiritual check-up.
1. Be diligent in the study of the word of God. Speak the truth whenever you can. (2 Timothy 2:15)
2 .Be eager to examine the bible and what it has to say. (Hebrews 4:12)
3. Be a do-er not merely a say-er. James 1:22-25 and 4:17)
4. Let go of your sin nature and follow God’s word. Ephesians 4:22-24)
5. Live to please God, not yourself. (John 8:29 and 2 Corinthians5:9)
6. Pray for your enemies and all of your circumstances. (Philippians 4:6-7)
7. Humble yourself by putting others ahead of yourself. (Philippians 2:3-8)
8. Be patient, in all things of action and attitude be loving and kind. (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)
9. Use the spiritual gift that God has given you. Don’t let it go to waste. (1 Peter 4:10 and Ephesians 4:1-16)
10. Worship, show God that He means that much to you by setting aside time to worship and fellowship. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
