The Battle of Heart and Conscience

September 5th 2008 14:52

We are all faced with dilemmas. Christianity teaches that so much of what we see in society today is wrong. And, if our heart and conscience is truly with God we start to feel it. We view it as a problem even if we don’t want to admit it to ourselves. The Holy Bible teaches that Satan knows us; he has been here and has been corrupting mankind since the dawn of time. You see, Satan knows your heart and your desires and will do everything he can to prevent you from being with the Father in heaven because he was banished. His radical, hateful, vain, selfish efforts had him kicked out of heaven and it is because God’s love for mankind that Satan has an uncontrollable hatred for us and because we are selfish and think we know it all he feeds on that stupidity which allows him access to our lives, thoughts and actions.

Here is something to live by: 1Peter 5-6: do not seek your own glory or the glory of men.

This will lead you astray every time.

Do you remember the old comedy line, "The devil made me do it?" It was funny as a joke, but it doesn't work very well as an excuse for doing wrong. Thanks for reminding us!

Very True T.B.T. The Bible says Lot was vexed from day to day, by hearing, and seeing their filthy unlawful deeds.

Seems like we are living in a time like Sodom and Gomorrha. People would rather listen to their own lust and desires rather to what is moral, desent and right.

Satan is there everyday and never takes a day off. You know he even tried to tempt Jesus, but Jesus used the word of God on him.

Many people like to use that excuse that the devil made me do it, but that's not true we have a choice in the matter.

What makes us listen to his lies, and temptations is that we are following the flesh rather than the following the spirit.

We are at a natural war anyway our flesh wants us to please it, and the spirit wants to please God. The devil uses our weakness against us, so if our praying is not up we listen to flesh more than God.

Even the Bible say sin is pleasure for a season, but the end of sin is death. But the Gift of God is eternal life.
