Heaven is a Prepared Place for a Prepared People

There are countless people who merely think that Heaven is a ‘great idea’ or a nice ‘thought’ but don’t actually believe in it. There is also a sea of people that think that just being a ‘generally’ good person will grant them access to dwell in Heaven for eternity. These are falsehoods.
The truth of it is that heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people. John 14:1-11 talks about this. And, despite popular opinion, not everyone will be a citizen of heaven just on a few good deeds when we feel like doing them.
So, in an effort to truly teach the character of the citizens that will live in the kingdom of heaven I will dedicate the following posts to the scripture that will help you get a better idea of what the bible says about who will enter the gates. Then, you can decide if you have what it takes to go to heaven and then strive to live your life according to God’s standards for mankind.
Remember what Jesus said in the parable regarding the kingdom of heaven in Matthew chapter 22: “For many are called but few are chosen.” (Matthew 22:14)

21 Not everyone that saith unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter into heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
What must we do to be saved, in the Book of Romans 10:9 Paul tells us how to get saved.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Paul tells us in the Book of Hebrews 12:1-2 how to stay saved.
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
T.B.T. I don't want to get to long winded, but this reminds me of a sermon I heard on the radio one day while in the car. I turned the radio on and was looking for a Christian station to listen to. Well found one, and the preacher was saying that in heaven there would be some that committed murder, and some that had lied, and some that had committed adultery, and some that had stolen, and so on.
And he said in hell there would be good moral people that had never committed any of those sins. Also he said that in hell would be people that had done many good deeds, lived a good life, and so on. Well I thought the man was preaching heresies, and started to turn the station. Before I could reach the radio button, he said wait a moment just like he knew everyone was going to turn the station on him.
Then he began to explain himself, he said that those murders, ones that committed adultery, liars, the thieves and so on done one thing the good and moral people that had done good deeds didn't do, and that was to get born again, and forgiven of their sins. We must be born again to make it to heaven. We become a new creature in Christ old things are passed away and all things become new.
The Lord when he forgives puts our iniquities far away from us as the east is from the west. Sorry to take up so much of your time, but you inspire me when it comes to the word of God.
