Being Tested

Most Christians admit that they get scared when they are confronted with false statements about our faith or about God. Some Christians get angry and feel the need to defend; various individuals might even yell or become furious. Neither of these are a good way for a Christian to behave. We are called to be brave, stand up and be bold in the face of a lie. But, we are not be violent right off the cuff when we come up against wicked behavior and ignorance.
Above all else in this crazy world full of people that wish for nothing more than to tear down God and all of His ways, we must realize that we should feel good when people ridicule us and mock us due to our love for Him. A good scripture to read is 5:11-12. And remember, don’t get angry, don’t get scared, be bold and encouraging when speaking the Truth.
