Blaming God for Bad Things that Happen
December 21st 2011 19:38
I can't tell you how many times that I have heard people blame God for burdens in their lives or people as a whole. God is not to blame for the evil, the pains or the problematic situations of earth and the people therein. He may allow things to happen and not stop all bad things but there is a very good reason for that. We are here to experience both good and evil and we are called to make a stand on one side or the other to decide our eternal fate: death or life. So, yes, He will allow us to experience bad things when Satan inflicts them upon us sometimes but He is not the one who brings it forth in our lives. See Job for more on the problems that Satan inflicts and how people love to place blame anywhere but on the true source.
You can read about what God has to say about blaming Him for burdens cast on you and your life in Jeremiah 23. The term”burden of the Lord” means to say, “what burden will the Lord put on me?”
Jeremiah 23:33-40
