Do You Steal?
April 5th 2009 13:45
We live in a time of locking doors and getting the best security systems to protect ourselves from thieves. Being robbed violates our trust and safety. But the question you need to stop and ask yourself from time to time is: Do you steal? The answer may surprise you.
We must be careful, first of all, as the bible teaches us that possessions will not last. Do not store up treasure on earth. Where our treasure is our hearts will be also.
The gray areas surround stealing is growing each and every day to make people think that some cases are okay, but the truth it that it is not okay... it is still a sin. More people are making excuses and trying to justify their sinful actions. Here are a ways people steal yet do not want to accept the fact that they are a “thief” by their practices:
1. taking something without permission
2. embezzlement
3. blackmail
4. cheating on taxes
5. skimming
6. touching things that are not your to touch
7. lying on insurance forms
8. keeping something that is found by you but doesn’t belong to you
Please read- Ephesians 4:28 and Exodus 20:15
