Evil Spirits

Reading through the darkest parts of a history book or turning on the news can display some of the worst and most brutal crimes. Most people are in shock over the heinous violence toward human beings that we sit and wonder if there isn't something more to it that we don't see. Well, the Bible tells that there is. Scripture tells us that we are made in the image of God, that we were made for good works.
We know, by reading the word of God, that man has free will and that both the Holy Spirit and demonic spirits try to influence human souls to determine who they will serve in life and where they will spend eternity. There are so many types of demonic spirits; some in the form of the seven deadly sins and some that are just so hostile toward mankind their only mission is to keep us away from God and salvation through Christ as well as to hurt us physically or to torment us. Why? Because God loves us.
Matthew, Mark, Luke and Acts can tell us a lot about the types of evil spirits and how to tell when a person is vexed by them. Our next lessons will be getting into these chapters and learning more about how a Christian can spot demonic possession or oppression and what can be done about it
