Fig Tree Generation
October 2nd 2011 23:53
If you have read the bible in its entirety, then you will notice the parables of the fig tree. One of the best places to read of this is in Jeremiah 24. Those that have studied the parable already know what it represents, but I am going to sum it up for those who do not realize the significance to this generation. You see, the parable of the fig tree was a prophecy that has come true. Now, with the simple fact that every prophecy that was supposed to come to pass before this generation has actually come true, it is not surprising that this too has come to pass. But, it has a very special meaning for us today.
The fig tree represents Israel. At the time Israel was no longer a nation, the prophecy in this parable was that Israel would not become a nation again until the end when Satan would come and test mankind through what is known as the tribulation. Israel did become a nation again in 1948. Prophecy says that this generation would not pass until all prophecy comes to pass.
Jesus would teach of all the things that would happen after the generation of the fig tree began, well beloved, we are in that generation right now. In Matthew 24:32-36, Jesus commanded that we learn the parable. Why? Because His teaching was to be passed through each generation until the last generation which would save His people from being deceived.
We are in the 5th seal. When the 6th trump sounds and Satan comes as the fake Christ will you know better than to worship him?
