Following God

In this New Year, we all have resolutions. A Christian’s goal should always be about serving God more and becoming a better child of God. We can all make improvements in our lives as we all fall short of the glory. So, the question is not whether to strive to be a better Christian but rather how to follow God in a better and more efficient way. Here are some steps to take:
1. Time should be set aside each and every day to worship and commune with Him. Devotionals are a great way to do this, prayer times are another.
2. Follow the teachings of Jesus with all of our hearts. We shouldn’t pick and choose what is convenient to follow as far as obeying God’s commandments and a scripture based lifestyle.

3. We should stand firm in the face of opposition. The more unruly our society gets, the more hate that is spewed in our direction and the more intolerant people become about Christianity we should all be finding ways to strike back with righteousness. This means get involved in your community, in out reach programs, etc. The more we can teach others about God the Father and Jesus our Savior the better off people will be. Do NOT fear, do NOT sit back while lies are spread about our faith and do NOT give in to political correctness.
