Forgiveness in an Unforgiving World

Let’s face it, in today’s world we see more hate filled sentiments and rage filled slander than ever before. From each individual’s thought on life, religion, politics, career choices and just about everything else under the sun there are people screaming about it. I can’t tell you how much hate I see pretty much everywhere I go online about simple ideas or beliefs that are constantly ridiculed… this of course breeds hate.
As Christians we must remember that as the Lord has forgiven us, we should forgive also. (Colossians 3:13) To help us remember that the hatred of people and grudges have no place in our lives and hearts, here are some guidelines to remember:
• Never forget how much God has forgiven you in your life. (Colossians 2:13-14)
• We are called upon to forgive just as we have been forgiven. (Ephesians 4:31-32)
• Show your forgiveness in the choices we make daily. (Colossians 3:13)
