God’s Judgment of the Hypocrite (Part One)
August 15th 2010 18:09
Many non-Christians have a disturbing and ignorant view of a hypocrite. I have heard these kinds of people many times say that all Christians are hypocrites. Well, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Jesus Christ himself called the hypocrites exactly that and any Christian that spends time reading the word and really studying it knows how not to be a hypocrite while also teaching people the right way to live according to biblical principles and the lessons of Christ Himself.
Just to clear up any confusion, a hypocrite is some who tells others TO or NOT TO do something while they themselves practice the act. Like for instance, a thief who says to someone else that they shouldn’t steal. That is a hypocrite.
A true Christian will walk according to what they preach. God despises hypocrites as did His Son Jesus. We, as Christians, should also despise the act of hypocrisy .
Matthew 23:13-15 Jesus said: "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to. Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are. “
REMEMBER, to avoid being a hypocrite, our walks and our talks MUST be synonymous.

A hypocrite is someone that tells someone else not to do something but then deems it righteous if they themselves do it. Or some similar act. It is the action of the person that declares a wrong for everyone else but not themselves. Basically holding themselves to a higher standard and having two sets of rules: one that they follow and one for the rest of the world.
All Christians live by the same principles. Anyone trying to say that some Christians can sin as they'd like or as they see fit while all other Christians will be damned for the same sins is a hypocrite.
I hope that i have helped clear up any misunderstanding. Thank you for stopping by and commenting.
