God’s Judgment of the Hypocrite (Part Two)
August 18th 2010 18:12
After reading what a hypocrite is from our last lesson, we should now learn about the reasons of God’s judgments against them. Romans 2:1-16 is our next reading section of scripture.
The reasons were clearly expressed. The hypocrites were sinful, they handed out sentences to others yet avoided them themselves, and their impenitence was obvious. The realities here are that the judgments of God are personal, proper and perfect. It should be remembered that there is no middle ground. If something is wrong by God’s standards then it is wrong for all mankind, there are no exclusions. All judgment is based on who we really are, not who we pretend to be. The ONLY way to heaven is to have a relationship with Jesus and obey God’s laws.
The realizations of God’s judgment will focus on the:
rebellion of man, his sin nature.
the reaction to God as everyone has a internal knowledge of God and He makes Himself known to all.
the reality of judgment day. Just because you don’t want to think about it doesn’t mean that it will not happen. Everyone must face the judgment for their actions here on earth.
