going to heaven2

*We are reading from Mathew 5 verses 3-12 and analyzing the character of who will enter the Kingdom of Heaven during the “Are You Going to Heaven” posts.

Matthew 5:4- “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
Obviously this does not refer to those that cry because they don’t get their way or anyone who has ever wept when they have lost someone close. This actually goes a deeper and further than that.

“Those who mourn” mean people that can watch an injustice and cry out to the Lord. People who weep before God and express to Him the sorrow felt from the heart regarding the wrong in the world and those suffering as a result of it.

The Political Brief

There are so many things for us all to mourn for, TBT. Cruelty, injustice, abortion... There's gonna be a lot of comforting needed, and a loving God to give it.

Round Politics

Hey T.B.T. , S.L. is right we have so much to weep for as we see the injustices all around us, reminds me of the verse in Romans chapter 12, where it says weep with them that weep, and rejoice with them that rejoices, but it takes a Godly love to be able to do that.

Jesus said greater love hath no man than to lay down his life for his friend. Jesus also wept for Jerusalem, and for Lazarus.
