Are You Going to Heaven: The Meek

*We are reading from Mathew 5 verses 3-12 and analyzing the character of who will enter the Kingdom of Heaven during the “Are You Going to Heaven” posts.
Matthew 5:5- “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.”
Let me start by saying that this does NOT mean the ‘weak’. Meek is more controlling power. Just because you can hurt someone doesn’t mean that you should. But to protect innocent people you can step forth and be strong to defend them.
To be ‘meek’ means to be patient and mild, to understand that you have strength but to use it only when it is right to do so. Not letting pride, vanity, or anger get in the way and control your actions or attitude but rather to stand up for what is right and concentrate your strength on helping others.
