Are You Going to Heaven: Those Who Hunger & Thirst
July 15th 2008 03:15
*We are reading from Mathew 5 verses 3-12 and analyzing the character of who will enter the Kingdom of Heaven during the “Are You Going to Heaven” posts.
Matthew 5:6- “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.”
To hunger and thirst for righteousness means simply to have a deep desire or longing to learn more about good, Godly ways. Not to want to learn about it on Sunday but to lead a life according to your own version of right and wrong. Not to only agree with some of what the bible has to say but to follow all of it.

We need a desire that when we wake in the morning God is on our minds, as we go through our day, God, and his good word is on our minds. At night when we lay down God, and his wonderful blessing is on our minds as we fall asleep.
T.B.T. there was a time in my Christian life that I prayed three hours a day, because there was something I wanted from God, and he gave it to me, and more. Nothing during that time matter to me except getting closer to God, and it should be that way today.
