Are You Going to Heaven: The Peacemakers

We are reading from Mathew 5 verses 3-12 and analyzing the character of who will enter the Kingdom of Heaven during the “Are You Going to Heaven” posts.
Matthew 5:9- “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.”
There is a difference between peacekeepers and peacemakers. Peacekeepers will tend to keep the peace by any means even if that means lying, hiding or otherwise keeping everyone in the dark. Peacemakers tend to devote themselves to a solution to the problem at hand. They look ahead, examine all side of the issues and find a solution. This doesn’t mean to compromise the standards of the bible and God’s law. This means to find a solution and lead those who need direction to a happier, calmer plateau by fixing the issue through Christian principals.
