Honesty: When Lying Seems To Be The Only Answer

“Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”

Have you ever heard of a little white lie? Of course many people try to justify their lies by saying “fib” and other such things. If you look in Acts, you can see that there is a very good view of what God sees as dishonesty. Acts 4:32 through 5:11 paints a good picture for us.

We should always be honest, it is the only way to show God that we love and obey His laws of love and kindness.

Samaritan's Stories
I think in most cases it is best to avoid lying. But in some situations, it is necessary to avoid a greater evil. Many of people hiding Jews in Nazi Germany had to lie to the authorities.
