In today’s lesson we’ll be reading 1 Thessalonians 4:1-12.
During this selected scripture, we are faced with the fact that God desires us to be sanctified and holy. A lifestyle such as this means that with all of our days we must be devoted to God and that every aspect of our lives should reflect Jesus Christ. We learn here that sexual immorality can not be tolerated.
In verse 8 we see that when a person deliberately rejects the behavioral guidelines they are in fact rejecting God. We must be aware of false Christians that practice immorality. These people are everywhere and they need to be taught that their actions are not reflecting Christ. If they fail to understand or change their wicked ways then they will judged as merely a person rejecting God. We can not force them to change, they must do it on their own. But, we can educate them.
