“In the beginning....”
July 17th 2011 18:24
"Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. (Is. 1:18) We should be studying scripture every day to discover the simplicity of the truth in which God has given it to us. There are some people that have thought it to be more politically correct to teach the Bible by covering up the facts that are represented. It is my opinion that this misguides people because when this happens people may not understand, it may make the text confusing (and even contradicting) to the point that they don't understand and walk away. The Bible does NOT contradict itself, if it does you are not reading the truth. This can happen due to bad translations of the original text. But, that is why we study, we look up the words in a Strong's Concordance so we can see the original words used in the manuscripts and their meaning. One tip, remember that the Old Testament words should be researched in Hebrew (or Chaldee) and the New Testament was written in Greek.
I must say, I am confused when people preach and teach the stories in the Bible to be something that they are not. I am going to go into the book of Genesis a little. Some may say that it isn't important, but I think it is as many have no clue of what really happened there in the Garden of Eden. I want to delve into the word of God, and bring to light some of the “original” words whereby you can see clearly what the original sin was. Despite what you may have been taught, it was NOT because Eve ate an apple. I hope you stay with me for this in depth study. Please bear with me as it will take more than one study to explain it.
I will try and touch on other stories and facts that have been distorted throughout time, even by going into the end times prophecies. But, rest assured, I will back it up with scripture. We need to feed people the Truth with the Truth. There is no time for games and manipulating God's Word. I am sure someone will likely be offended, but in honesty, I don't care much about that. I am a Christian and I will stand up and declare the truth not these myths that man has devised in order to cover up the truth.
