Living in God’s Grace

The bible is a very clear handbook to life. It explains everything we must know to live a fruitful life within the will of God. There are a few things that we, as Christians must do daily to prove our love and loyalty to God.
• First we should separate ourselves from the world. We should be in this world but not of this world. We should not be consumed with greed (money, jewelry, power, etc.) but instead realize that this world is a temporary place filled with evils and temptations. (1 John 2)
• We must also surrender our will and our lives. This proves our dedication to the Father and the Son to put all others before ourselves. Remember: THY will be done, not MY will be done.
• Sacrifice is something that EVERY true Christian must know well. Sacrificing your needs, wants and desires for the sake of God’s will and people that need more than we do is a prime example. (Luke 9:23)
• We must stand for what we believe. If we do not stand up for Jesus and God’s word then so will we be denied when we are in the presence of the Lord. Taking a stand is very important. (Mark 8:35-38)
• Every person is called to serve God. This means to seek Him in reading His word, meditating with our hearts, praying for all who are in need, helping people before helping ourselves, loving every person above ourselves, asking for forgiveness where we fall short of the Glory of God and modeling our lives after His teachings. (John 4:34)
