Lust

Lust by definition: A bodily appetite, a deep fleshly desire
Lust is any desire that comes to a person which does not have any value to God. If it is something that doesn’t serve God or His will then it is a lust, a selfish vanity. Lust can be anything from allowing sex, drugs, alcohol etc. to control your thoughts and body… to feeling that deep desire to do what you know is not beneficial to your body or God’s will.
Remember Christians are a chosen people. Not everyone can be a true Christian. It takes a lot of work and dedication to the Holy Trinity in order to become a real Christian and if we are changing ourselves into a follower of Christ then we are lying to ourselves, each other and more importantly to God. Put off the old… that which hinders- this means anything and everything that we know God wouldn’t like and allow Him to shape our lives into loving creations meant to help others find the truth and the light.

Round Politics
2 Corinthians 10 : 4-5
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
Galatians 5 : 16
This I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
T.B.T the bible tells us where our treasures are there will our hearts be. If we are laying up treasures in heaven our hearts will be on God, and not the worldly things.
Paul wrote in Philippians 4 : 11
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
And he wrote in 1 Timothy 6 : 6
But godliness with contentment is great gain.
I would like to end with this verse from Philippians 4 : 8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise think on these things.
