Man’s Rebellion (Romans Study Continued)
August 11th 2010 18:06
As we continue in our Romans study, we will be reading from Romans 1:24-32. Take a moment to read these passages before we get into the lessons within the scripture.
First, we can see the substance of man’s rebellion. Man chooses sin over God. Sin is to live in the lusts of the flesh instead of striving to please God by following His commandments and the teachings of Jesus Christ. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, but we should be trying hard to change that sinful inclination if we want to be children of God.
Secondly, we see that the symbol of man’s rebellion and wicked ways are the unnatural activities. It is not only true of the sodomites today as women too engage in homosexuality and practice unnatural acts and using tools created to facilitate this immorality is popular among the unsaved.
So, what is the scope or end result if we stand back and look at the big picture? If we don’t obey God He will let us go to live in our sin and it will lead to our destruction. The world is in a moral decline because man has sowed such evil seed. Christians must not fall into these ungodly ways of society.
