Marriage in the Eyes of God
June 13th 2008 23:15
As most of us know, marriage is a sacred union under God, a commitment of forsaking all others and turning once and for all away from sexual immorality. Yet in today’s’ world we see people getting married constantly and then divorcing. We see affairs both consented and not. And then it can be found that some prefer relations of the sexual sort being embraced as a way to keep a marriage solid. This is not the way marriage was supposed to be.
Marriage is clearly defined in the bible. Turn to 1 Corinthians chapter 7. The biblical principals of marriage are mapped out. It is so rare to see a marriage that is good and decent when there are so many wicked relationships around us. Don’t be fooled and do not live a lie. Christians need to follow the biblical teachings and try to walk the path that leads us home.

Some divorces are necessary for the safety of one partner and/or the children. Frivolous divorces, though, are another story.
Good post, TBT. Keep 'em coming!

Marriage is until death do you part in the eyes of God, we don't get any do overs folks.
Mark 10 : 3
And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?
Verse 4 : And they said Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.
Verse 5 : And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this percept.
Verse 6 : But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
Verse 7 : For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife
Verse 8 : And they twain shall be one flesh : so then they are no more twain, but one flesh
Verse 9 : What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
Pretty much explains it all doesn't, Marriage is between one man and one woman, and Marriage is a sacred institution given us by God from the beginning of time.
Every man and woman that wants to get married should consult with their ministers before marriage to see the gravity and importance of the vows they are taking, and if they are willing to forsake all others, keeping only to themselve, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, for better or worse, until death do they part.
It must be for love not lust. true love will last, but lust will fade when something better comes alone. Men are to cherish their wives, and to love them as their ownselves, and wives are to reverence their husbands.
Truth B. Told I have been married for over 27 years to the same woman, we have had our ups and downs but love finds away to work things out.
