Murder: Part Two
April 12th 2009 13:49
We previously learned what constitutes murder and then just a little while ago we learned about the fact that murder invades God’s territory. Now we address another aspect of murder. What does murder involve?
Murder involves more than just killing a person by ending their physical life. It involves the element of justice and judgment. Murder can involve the actions to kill a person’s reputation such as slander and gossip, or just for something to do because of wicked emotions such as jealousy, contempt and hate according to your own standards and measurements. Your mind, heart and attitudes can all commit murder.
The three ways a person can be murdered according to the bible are:
1. physical
2. personal
3. prenatal
Read:
Genesis 4
Genesis 9:5
Numbers 35: 11-28
Psalms 139

Lady~ I think it falls under both. For instance, if the slander and so forth is a "lie" then yes that would also fall under do not lie/bear false witness. If however you are seeking to "destroy" another person's reputation whether it be with a lie or truth, if the motive is malicious and meant to ruin that person then it does fall under the murder category.
Thank you Lester, I hope your resurrection celebration was wonderful and inspiring.
