Nehemiah was a Patriot

When Reading the book of Nehemiah it is easy to see how he was considered a patriot. This is a book that can be easily applied to every day life and various lessons can be learned by every single person. The very definition of a patriot is a person that has a great concern for their nation and the people of that nation. We can learn through reading chapter one of Nehemiah that we can all be a Christian patriot. We should be committed to honoring God and His divine laws. Our priorities should be as follows:
• Loyalty to God
• Loyalty to Country
Our motives should also be clear as well as our actions: honesty, integrity and always being humble. We should mourn, pray and fast for the sin and corruption that is plaguing society. Guidance through prayer and payer for the wickedness around us should dominate our thoughts and actions in daily life.
