Perseverance

In Matthew 7:7-11, Jesus talks about perseverance. This is key to daily Christian living. We need to be persistent in prayer for others. We need to ask, seek and knock. God knows our hearts and wants what is best for our lives. By praying for things inside of God’s will and outside of our own we are sure to get more satisfaction in the answering of these prayers. Pray for wisdom, strength, love and understanding among your daily desires.

This means to read your bible more, be diligent. For there are many liars in the world looking to do Satan’s bidding and distract the Christians from walking in righteousness.

Round Politics
Hey T.B.T. Great post, I agree we must keep the faith everyday, and not to change from day to day, but be like Christ the same everyday. I enjoyed reading those scriptures I have read so many times before they still hold true today.

1John 3 : 20-22
For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

And Also 1John 5 : 14-15
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.

And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

The Political Brief
Well said, TBT and Lester! Too often we hear of people abandoning their faith because all their prayers weren't answered on day one. As my pastor says, "in God's time, not in ours." And sometimes God has to answer "No" for our own good. Giving up isn't the answer, perseverance is.

Thank you Lester... how so very true. And SL, always a pleasure to have you stop by. The more diligent we are in seeking God and trying to please Him through our works the better we feel and we start to know and delight in the love of God. In His time: Thy will be done, NOT MY will be done.
