Political Correctness
July 1st 2009 22:45
The bible warns us that we should watch out for people of the world. The deception of sinful people urges us to compromise our principles and morals. We have all had situations in our lives where people would talk us into wavering and they probably said it wouldn’t be a bad thing and maybe even that God would accept the behavior. This most often comes in the form of political correctness which is running rampant in society today.
Scripture reminds us NOT to conform, stand strong, keep to the Word of God and His Laws. Paul warns us of this in his testimony. The key is to be transformed and renew your mind. Read scripture and pray daily.
Scripture:
Romans 3, 5, 10, 12
Titus 2:11-15
Luke 9:23

I think this doctrine of relative truth, anything goes, no discrimination for anyone is a huge part of Satan's plan in America. By convincing people that he does not exist, everything becomes acceptable, even good. But its a lie, and the only way we can separate the truth from the lies is by immersing ourself in the real thing: reading Scripture, listening to God, and living in step with other believers. This is a very scary time for believers to live in.

Round Politics
You cannot prove anything if you just go alone with, or compromise with the world. The Bible tells us not to be unequally yoked together with unbelievers.

As for staying believers and not flocking with unbelievers my pastor once said something that has stuck with me on this subject, "if you have a basket of bad apples and you toss in one good apple- you should know that the good apple will not turn those apples good again but will instead begin to rot." I firmly believe this. That is not to say that we should not do our very best to teach unbelievers and those that are doing wrong. We should. But we should do it at a distance, careful not to fall into the pit that they are drowning in.
We can not change anyone all we can do is spread the word and help them understand God, Jesus and salvation. God wants everyone to know Him but it is each person's choice as to where they wish to spend eternity.
