Prayer Part Two
October 5th 2008 01:49
As we read in Part One, it is important to pray in secret. But does this mean that we are never to pray with others or in a public setting? NO! Of course not! In fact the bible encourages that we do. What this means is that we need to pray on a deeper more personal level. Don’t be showy or flashy and if you do then you are making a mockery of the sacred communication known as prayer.
As we wish for our children to come to us with their every need (although we know what is good for them and not) and as we want them to discuss the problems that they face in their lives (although we can see it for ourselves) and as we want our children to trust us enough to confide in us and have faith in our ability to decide what is right for them, so does God. Prayer is how the relationship is accomplished.
