Repetition in the Bible
May 10th 2008 06:23
Have you ever noticed the repetition in the bible? Both the complete repeating or the different aspects to parables but with the same meaning? These are actually done for a bigger reason than most would think. It is not about the one particular message but actually proposed as God designed to reach all kinds of people in every way they could possibly understand. What you might understand, some one else may not. So, the next time you roll your eyes at the word of God, think twice as it was God who took the time to explain it for all men to understand. This shows incredible patience and love as parents often do for their children. It is purposeful.

That's why the messages are repeated so that if we don't get it the first time it's there to remind.
Good post I was directed here by S.L. I am glad she told me about this blog, I don't get to surf for good reading as time is so limited.
Stand strong and be of good faith, I hope you can do some good here.

As for the reason behind repetition in the bible, it is simply used for clarity. The bible isn't going for "best story plot" or trying to be the best creative book in the world. The bible is meant to teach and share the truth, love, and light.
