Resisting Sin

March 8th 2009 22:41

Some people measure sin by some sort of degree, but it is not so. A sin is a sin. There are also people that think that they “couldn’t say no” when tempted. A Christian has the ability and authority to deny sin. If you have the Holy Spirit within you then you can say no when ever you are tempted by sin.

Jesus said it best “If you love Me you will obey Me.” We must remember that Jesus said Himself that He came not to get rid of God’s laws but to fulfill them. You do not have to fall weak minded and lame when sin comes to your door. You must ask yourself who do I love more, myself or God?

“How can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” Genesis 39:9

Hey T.B.T. so true, we must walk in the Spirit, and not flesh to fulfill the commands of God.

Romans 8-5
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh, but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
