Responsibility
March 26th 2008 04:43
In today’s world we can look everywhere and see people constantly trying to take responsibility away from how we live our lives. Have you ever noticed that? This would be the sin factor taking hold of society and keeping it blinded.
A good parent will keep a child focused and on track and when a mistake is made gently explain the ramifications to the child and point them again in the right direction. If the child then does not obey and continues to do wrong then responsibility is taught by way of correction. Some parents spank, some ground, and so on. But the end result is the same; trying to make the child understand that there are consequences for their actions. This is a necessary process for the child to grow into a productive, loving, accountable and dependable person in society that will strive to do the right thing.
But today, numerous individuals are trying to tell parents to let the kids do what they want without correction. If a parent is strict they are called abusive. If a parent teaches biblically based principals then they are wrong. If a child rebels and wishes to commit various sins against God and against the family in which they were raised it is “understandable and should be tolerated as expression”.
How sad and down right pitiful. Removing responsibility is exactly what Satan did to Adam and Eve and what he has done throughout history. No accountability breeds chaos, hate, misery, and destruction of all that is good. Shame on those that teach this wicked practice and shame on those that buy into it.
