Spiritual Growth: Knowing the Word of God

In order to truly know the Word of God one must actively pursue it. Simply reading some verses here and there does not constitute an understanding of scripture. In Proverbs 2:1-5 we can learn about truly knowing the Word of God. There are certain steps to take if a person is serious about their spiritual walk with the Lord:
1. hearing the Word of God
2. reading the Word of God
3. studying the Word of God
4. applying the Word of God to daily life
5. depending on the Word of God to guide you
6. memorize the Word of God to be ready to give an account
