Study of Romans 11
June 26th 2011 14:45
We are in Romans 11 today. The study that is concerning grace. What is grace? By definition it means “unmerited favor.” This meaning, the type of assisting, love and divine embrace we are not worthy of because we are faulty, sinful and we do not deserve it.
Let's look at an outline of what we see in this great chapter:
Verses 1-10 talks about the grace of God. And, the election of grace. It is important to understand God's saving grace and His selecting grace which is easily seen here.
Verses 11-24 illustrates the grafting of both the Jews and the gentiles into one tree. Trees are often used throughout scripture as symbology but that is another lesson. After the grafting we read about the results which is to supply us with holiness and reminder of God's power.
Verses 33-36 reveals the glory of God. What can we take away from these verses and learn? God's greatness, grace and glory!
