The Christian Strategy
October 14th 2009 20:21
One of the best places in the bible for a clear Christian strategy is in Nehemiah. There are plenty of others to be sure, but this one shows how well it worked when it was prioritized correctly.
In chapter 2 of Nehemiah we see that every thing we do should be about strategy, provision and planning. Here is how it is mapped out:
1. Examine what we want? What is our goal? Is it with God or is it all about our personal agendas? Nehemiah’s was to rebuild the walls.
2. Realize that God will provide when our goals are righteous for His plan. He has proven this throughout the bible/history. One tip is that if we are not faithfully consulting Him in prayer over every step of the way our efforts are NOT for Him.
3. Develop a time frame and stick to it! This measure both willingness and progress.
4. Pray for success and protection diligently.
We must remember a few things along the way: God will allow trials to strengthen us, God always works behind the scenes on our behalf and God always examines our hearts before He acts!
Reminder: If you fail to plan then you plan to fail!
