The Condition of Mankind Part Two
October 27th 2010 19:51
In the last study of Romans 5:6-10, we learned about the condition of mankind. In this study we will see Christ's Compassion for mankind and how much He loves us.
In verses 6-7, Paul tells us that there are a few people that men would die for. Christ loved us so much that He sacrificed Himself so that we might be saved and come to love and obey Him and His Father instead of spend an eternity in hell. This is a measure of love and compassion that most people go there whole lives without fully understanding.
In verse 8, we see hoe Christ's compassion showed the Love of God. Notice how the love of God transcended anything humanity is able to produce. His great love was put on display when Jesus Christ died for those who "were yet sinners." He died for His enemies! He died for the very people who had crucified Him.
In verses 9-11, Paul tells us that because He loved us when we were unlovable, we have received blessings from Him that we need to know about today. "Much more then". We have been completed in Him.
Verse 11 states it clearly: we should praise and exalt God and rejoice in Him through Christ as true believers are reconciled. What a wonderful thing!!
