The End of the World?

The end of the world seems to be on everyone's mind. But I wonder, do people realize what scripture says about the end of the world or do they see it as more likened to a Hollywood film or in some sort catastrophic destruction of the planet?
In the telling of prophecies for the coming of Christ, scripture tells us that it will be the end of the “world” as in the lusts of the flesh, corruption and the worldly ways, but the planet will still be here. In fact Christ Himself will reign for a thousand years. During this millennium time, people will be taught the true Word of God which is to say right from wrong. After this time people will have yet another chance to turn away from God and be destroyed in the lake of fire, which is to say Hell- or, choose to love God, obey His words and live forever righteously in our spiritual bodies.
So, yes it will be the “end of the world” in respect to the ways of the world, the evil wickedness and corrupt behaviors of the world, but we will be here and the earth will be put back the way it was in the beginning before sin had corrupted it.
Ezekiel and Revelation are my favorite books that deal with the end times. If you want to read what happens in the end of times when Christ comes and reigns, please read through all of the following scriptures. I personally enjoy the teaching in Ezekiel (Millennium Teaching: 40-48) but it may be too heavy to learn for many yet. Hopefully soon I will do a study on it whereby we can rightly divide the Word of God and understand it with clarity. Until then, here are many other places you can read about this coming time.
