The Purpose of the Sermon on the Mount

I can not stress enough the actual purpose for the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus says in Matthew 5:17 that He did not come to destroy God’s Laws but to fulfill them. He came here to teach us right from wrong in a more personal manner so that we might not be confused when we make our decisions to sin or live righteously. So many people are still very ignorant about it and act as if Jesus came to tell everyone to do as they wish despite the Laws of His Father as long as it suits their own will- and they will be forgiven. This is not only a sad way of thinking but very vile and corrupt.
