The Reason for the Season Part Two: Atheists
December 15th 2010 00:24
The biggest arguments I have heard about the “offensive” nature of saying Merry Christmas is that it bothers those who do not recognize Jesus as being their Savior. Atheists can say it is a “myth” all they want but it won't change the fact that they are wrong. It is a proven fact that Jesus lived and died, ask any reputable archeologist. He was resurrected, just read through scripts of witness testimony that have been preserved. But we all have our own free will to choose what we believe.
These atheists, if they truly didn't believe in Christ would not be so adamant to get people to turn from Him. Think about it, when you honestly believe something is a “myth”, do you spend all of your time, energy and effort just to tell others of your thought? No. Why aren't they doing the same for Santa, the Easter Bunny or the Tooth Fairy? These are all myths, all things that many people talk about and children believe to be true. But, no, Christianity is what is singled out, it the one thing that drives anger and hatred into the hearts of the unsaved.
So, stand up and be counted for what you believe in. Don't let people tell you that your faith is offensive to them. Don't take Christ out of Christmas by labeling the day “Xmas”. Christ is reason that we Christians celebrate Christmas.
