The Wrath of God: Rebellion

July 18th 2010 19:11

As we continue our study of Romans, we turn now to chapter 1:18-23. Today we are learning about the wrath of God. This will be a four part study of this selected scripture. We will go through each point thoroughly so that the reasons may be illustrated in full.

Today we focus on man’s rebellion toward God. Since the beginning man has been ungodly in nature. Once the sin element was introduced in the Garden of Eden, the rebellious nature of mankind has only progressed through time. Satan was the one to introduced it as he, himself, was consumed by it. Passing this rebellious urge to mankind through temptation he successfully incorporated it into our mindset.

God has standards that are holy and clean. When a prideful and rebellious man turns from these wicked ways and embraces God, he will be loved and embraced as a child of God. If man chooses to continue his evil practices of pride and rebellion then God will become angry and unleash His wrath. We were not created for evil. Every person has a choice to become God’s child or remain Satan’s pawn.
