This Little Light Of Mine… Part Three

The bible says that we are to be salt and light in the world. Which is the reason for posting the two versions of This Little Light of Mine previously.
Let’s talk about what being ‘salt’ and ‘light’ means and how we can become these elements to all the people of the world.
In the sermon on the mount in Matthew 5:13-16, Jesus says: “you are the salt of the earth.” Jesus then warns against losing our flavor. A couple of ways we can begin to lose our flavor or zest for the word of God is to doubt God, His Son or the truth of salvation. There is one way that we can get our flavor back teaches the bible, by confessing our sin and asking for forgiveness.
“You are the light of the world.” Said Jesus. Many people may confuse us as lights in and of ourselves but the is a selfish way to live. We have a responsibility as Christians to go out and VISIBLE and RADIATE the love and laws of God our Father. This is what makes us a light unto the world.
