Three World Ages:
January 4th 2012 12:01
Okay, I mentioned that I would go into the Three World Ages with you all. It is an important issue that doesn't get a lot of attention and is rarely taught in church. But we are going to explore scripture so that some of you, with eyes to see and ears to hear, will be quickened. Some of us have a destiny and many are not even taught of it. God wants us to know these truths so we can do what we have been born to do. I won't go into every single original word or scripture which explains this topic, but I will go into enough of it to get the point across.
We are going to start with genesis. Genesis is the beginning and that is rightly where we should begin. In the first verse: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (period, it does not say when- it is merely a statement.)
Also in genesis, remember after He created mankind on the 6th day, He said “replenish the earth...” The term Replenish means to again populate.
One of the best places though to see the 3 world ages laid out is 2 Peter 3. It is a fantastic chapter that really defines it for you. Verses 5-7:
“For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was (**The world that THEN was had passed away), being overflowed with water, perished” (** The word perish, in the original manuscript, means to fully destroy, no living thing left. This is NOT talking about Noah's flood. The entire world did not perish as the animals and people were saved and when the waters receded there were still plants as the dove returned with an olive branch. Think of the ice age when every living thing died in an instant-nothing was saved): “But the heavens and the earth, which are now (**this current earth age), by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.” **Then of course, the 3rd earth age can be read in Ezekiel in the millennium chapters, Revelation and many, many places in biblical prophecy.
Now, I will be bringing forth more scriptures with each of the next few studies which also proves this point. I have broken this topic up into sections to help you understand it better. So please join me again for the next few studies that will provide more scripture to attest to the 3 world ages and why we are here.
