True Believers Have Privileges

While we continue reading Romans chapter 5:1-5, we see that we are saved and secure. Although in this evil world of trials and tribulations it may not always seem so. We need help to stay in the knowledge that we are Christians and that everything will be okay because Jesus is with us and regardless what we go through here during our limited mortal life, our eternity is more important.
In Romans 5:3 we see that we can rejoice even in times of trouble. But why? The answer is simple: the little word, "knowing". When the trials of life come upon us the true believer knows that God is in control and is working behind the scenes on our behalf. He uses every circumstance to produce in us a state of Christ likeness. Meaning that God is trying to make us like Jesus. How so? Well, no matter what Jesus went through, He did not scream, yell, protest, over react, say things in anger, etc. as we often do. He knew His Father was in control and He had to be tested in life. Everything that came His way, He dealt with it with prayer and peace.
We should be viewing every trial as a blessing from God (Romans 8:28). It is through these trials that we are shaped to become His children. Enduring them is a privilege, without them we would not be tested and not be transformed to show more of Jesus Christ through our lives.
