True or False: There are no Dinosaurs Spoken of in the Bible

Have you ever heard a non-believer say that the bible isn't true because if it were it would have mention of scientific facts that we know now to be true such as the existence of dinosaurs? I have. Today, I would just like to take a moment and illustrate the ignorance of the people who work so studiously to spread seeds of doubt about the existence of God through lies and manipulation. (Please remember that the term dinosaur had not been invented when this was written, nor did we have any real knowledge or concept of dinosaurs when the original scripts were translated into the Holy Bible that we have today. Therefore, we must rely on our intelligence to read and picture what was descriptively written as to the visual aspects of the creature.)
JOB 40:
15 “Look now at the behemoth, which I made along with you;
He eats grass like an ox.” (A behemoth is a hippopotamus. This is a bad translation but one that is easily understood. The time this was translated there were no dinosaurs recovered or named so they simply took the word of the large animal described and picked the biggest animal they had known of. By reading the next few verses you can see that the description can not possibly apply to a hippo.)
16 “See now, his strength is in his hips,
And his power is in his stomach muscles.”
17 “He moves his tail like a cedar;
The sinews of his thighs are tightly knit.” (The hippopotamus has a small tail- what animal do you know of whose tail is like a cedar tree?)
18 “His bones are like beams of bronze,
His ribs like bars of iron.” (Bronze beams were used in construction of tall buildings. This reference would be more to portray the height of the animal in likeness to the application. Bars of iron are a lot like they have been consistently throughout history- what do we use them for? Well, we put criminals in them right? Again these references are to present the picture of the animal so the bars of iron are also expressing the size of the creature)
19 “He is the first of the ways of God;
Only He who made him can bring near His sword.”
20 “Surely the mountains yield food for him,
And all the beasts of the field play there.” (This is an interesting scripture also eluding to the massive size of this creature. In this one sentence so much of what this animal is can be seen. The first part says the “mountains” yield food for him- but the second part “all the beasts of the field play there” so, while his feet are in the field with the other beasts of the field, he eats from the mountains.”
The next time an uneducated person says that the bible is not true because it does not adhere to scientific facts that we know to be true, such as the existence of dinosaurs, you can rest assured that they are wrong and perhaps you can teach them a thing or two about the truth that is in the scriptures. That is a lie and you should be too smart to believe such foolishness.
