Two in the Field (Explained): One Taken the Other One Left
December 18th 2011 17:21
“Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.” This is one of the most misquoted scriptures in today's society. So many uneducated people seem to think that this confirms the rapture theory. But, let's learn today just how silly that thought actually is. The unfortunate part is that these people do not take the time to pick up the subject and thoroughly read God's word. We are going to do it today:
Matthew 24
THE SUBJECT OF THE LESSON= THE END OF THE WORLD AGE
3-And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4-And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
(*Then Christ goes into all of the events one by one*)
23-Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24-For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
26-Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
THE SUBJECT OF THE INDIVIDUAL REFERENCE= THOSE TAKEN ARE THOSE THAT DIE BECAUSE OF THEIR DISBELIEF AS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH
38-For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,
39-And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40-Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41-Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
**The one taken is the one taken by the anti-christ. The one left will be here waiting for the true Christ.
