We are Called to Surrender

Continuing in 1 Peter 2:1-9, and learning more about God's call to His people (believers), we are now into the next lesson which is to “surrender”.
Each and every soul has a predestined amount of time on this earth. No one knows quite when our appointment for judgment will be. So, time is very important. You have heard the expressions: “Life is too short”- “Live like your dying”-”You only have one shot at life”- etc.? Well, that is true. By surrendering to God your time, your life, your actions, your attitude, and all that you are, you are showing the love and light of Christ. You are not merely saying you love Him and believe in Him but you are proving it. Actions speak louder than words. Jesus said, “if you love me, you will obey me.” We must prove our loyalty and love just as He did for us. He proved to us that He loved us through His death on the cross, now we must do likewise and prove to Him that we love Him through surrendering our lives to God's will.
