What Does God Want From Us?

September 21st 2011 00:23

Many people ask, what does God want from us? Well have you read the letter of love He has given to you? Scripture has all of the answers that you seek. There are so many clear and simple instructions for people who want to live for eternity with God. All you have to do is read, understand and believe wholly in Him and His Son Jesus Christ.

How does God know that you love Him? God is a heart knower, the heart can't lie- if you say “I believe” and you deep down don't, He WILL know it. But it goes deeper than that. By our works is how God knows how much we love Him. What “works”?
• Studying His word everyday

• Praying to Him everyday
• Repenting of our sins everyday
• Being obedient everyday

The hardest thing people have a problem with is obedience. To do all of the above is to be obedient. Christ Himself in His teachings said, “IF you love Me, you will obey Me.” That is the outward expression of true love. If we look in Hosea God straight up says, “I don't want your offerings, I want your love.”
