What Does it Mean to Receive Jesus Christ?

December 2nd 2009 16:51

God has made a provision for us through Jesus Christ. When we receive Him we become children of God and we are looked on as such- God then becomes Fatherly. Not all of us will stay by His (Jesus) side and follow His teachings for the rest of our lives but those who do will inherit the kingdom of heaven. Those who choose not to obey the laws and teachings will spend an eternity in hell. We need to remember that there are consequences to disobeying; the wages of sin is death. Sin leads to bondage and traps us until confession and the receiving of Christ. Please read 1 John chapters 1 & 2 for a clearer vision.
