What Is Holy?
May 15th 2008 06:28
1Peter 1:15-16 talks about the fact that God wants us to be holy. But what is holy? Well, the dictionary states that the definition is sinless and pure. To be holy means to be completely blameless. But we, human beings, are NOT holy. No one is holy. The only way we can be holy is to have Jesus Christ in our hearts for He is holy. By accepting Him and putting aside our selfish, ignorant and sinful ways it is then that our actions can be holy. Being holy is both redemptive and productive.

Round Politics
How can we, when our own righteousness is but filthy rags be holy. You are right it takes Jesus Christ living and abidding in our hearts, For without the blood being applied to our souls we would never be clean of sin.
We must be lead of the Spirit, and not follow the works of the flesh.

Thank you for your comments! It is a comfort God has sent us a helper (the Holy Spirit) and a redeemer (Jesus).
